Holding an apple in my hand

An apple in my hand
Marveling at its natural beauty

When one is hungry,
there is nothing like a golden
from some far away land
You are the apple of my eye
Red, green and yellow ones
Not so easy which one to buy

I wonder where that expression comes from
Why an apple and not a peach?
Although I´ve been told I am a peach
I´ve never been told,
“You are the apple of my eye”
I will keep on eating my favorite apples,
No need to ask me why

Walking slowly

Breathing deeply
Walking slowly

The sun above me
Feel so happily free

Cool breeze in the air
Gently going through my hair

The sun on my face
Will surely leave a lasting trace

Walking along the path of giant trees
Whispering gentle songs of quiet peace

Feeling good to be alive
Not important when I arrive

Time is still
This moment my very will
As I walk up the gentle hill

I may die on this day
Let my spirit take me away
And be born again in the month of May

Dreaming away down memory lane

Dreaming away down memory lane
Sitting in a compartment on a high speed train

Going back in time from Chicago to L.A.
On my journey to have fun and time to play
Thinking of places I want to go
Nothing to prove and nothing to show
So many memories  I remember so well
Still in my mind as clear as a bell
Looking out the window I can see
Arizona still so beautiful and so red
Can´t wait to get home and sleep on a king size bed
Going back in time
In my pocket only a dime
To have more would be such a crime
Finally seeing the Pacific ocean
My heart filling with such emotion
Gazing at the powerful waves
Swimming through the endless caves
Born to live another life
In my other pocket my handy little pocket knife
Perhaps may even pay visit to my ex-wife
Born again to be free
I will never ever forget thee

Tantas memorias me acuerdo bien
Arizona todavía tan hermoso y tan rojo

Breathing to another day

Breathing to another day
as the sun shines through the window
Waking up to bring her closer
next to me where we lay
Feeling the softness of her skin
Joining our bodies like a glove
my fingers gently touching every curve
watching her from above
Her smile touches my heart
Her eyes full of love
makes her more beautiful than ever
like a full moon shines in the midnight sky
I know our love will last forever

Respirando otro dia

Hello fig tree oh so old

“Hello fig tree”

Hello fig tree oh so old
Magestic you stand
Surviving also in the harsh cold
Your fruit so sweet
trully fit for kings
It really is such a splendid treat
Green figs or dark figs
Of all the fruit you are my favorite
So pleasant to walk in the countryside
finding a fig tree full of your fruit
in the summer when it´s so hot
and the fruit is ripe and sweet,
it´s the time to pick a lot
A dozen or so is just fine
They taste so good just like sweet wine
Fig tree so old
how many things you can probably tell
It´s a pleasure to know you´re doing oh so well
Even Jesus stopped to eat one or two
cause he knew what he needed when he felt a little blue
